KOIJAM RADHASHYAM SINGH TAKES OATH AS STATE CHIEF INFORMATION COMMISSIONER


Imphal: Shri Koijam Radhashyam Singh (IPS-Retd.) was today sworn in as State Chief Information Commissioner. Governor of Manipur Miss Anusuiya Uikey administered the oath of office to Koijam Radhashyam Singh in the swearing in ceremony held at the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Imphal.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th. Satyabrata Singh, cabinet ministers Govindas Konthoujam, Dr.Sapam Ranjan Singh, L. Sushindro Meitei, Chairperson of Manipur Lokayukta Justice(Retd.) T. Nandakumar Singh, Judges of Manipur High Court, MLAs- Sapam Kunjakeshor Singh and Th. Shanti Singh, Security Advisor, Kuldiep Singh, Chief Secretary, DGP, Addl. Chief Secretary M.H. Khan and other civil and police officers attended the swearing in ceremony. Officers of CRPF and BSF were also present in the ceremony.

After the swearing in ceremony, talking to the media, Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh said, to know the issues and grievances of the people, State Chief Information Commissioner is being appointed and government will fill up the required staffs of the Manipur Information Commission. Post creation process is in progress and shortly will mend the shortage, the Chief Minister added.

Talking to the media, Chief Information Commissioner, Koijam Radhashyam Singh said, his priorities would be to share information which is required by the citizens and at the same time he will not compromise administration efficiency. He said, citizens should be well informed so that they can understand the decision making process without affecting any developmental activities. He assured that he will discharge his duties at the larger interest of the public.
