Imphal : Over the past 24 hours, Imphal has experienced a tense yet controlled situation, marked by sporadic protests. Security forces conducted search operations in vulnerable areas of Thoubal and Kakching districts. Deceased individuals from recent violence were relocated to their hometowns, with 41 bodies to Churachandpur, 19 to Kangpokpi, and 4 to Imphal. Two abducted Apex Company workers in Tamenglong District were successfully rescued after intense police operations.
Essential item transportation along NH-37 and NH-2 is ensured, supported by strict security measures and checkpoints. A total of 142 checkpoints were established, leading to the detention of 211 individuals for violations.
