ASSAM RIFLES RECOVERS CACHE OF ARMS, AMMUNITION AND WAR LIKE STORES FROM GENERAL AREA POINT 1340 NEAR AIMOL

Imphal: Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles successfully recovered weapons and other war like stores from General Area Point 1340, near Aimol village Kangpokpi district, thereby ensuring safety and tranquility in the region.
Since its induction into Manipur, Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles has been actively engaged in intelligence-based operations, focused on identifying and neutralizing illegal weapon smuggling networks.
Through a scrupulous intelligence network and diligent efforts, the esteemed paramilitary force has been able to disrupt these networks. During the operation, the column recoverd a significant cache of weapons and ammunition from General Area Point 1340. The recovered items include 01 x SLR, 01 x HK 33 Assault Rifle, 01 x Single Shot Barrel gun, 20 x SLR live rounds (7.62 mm), 02 x No 36 Hand grenades and 01 x Radio Set with Antenna.
Assam Rifles has left no stone unturned in its mission to maintain peace and security in the region, while also safeguarding the lives of innocent civilians. Assam Rifles also urges the local community to play an active role in supporting their efforts by providing any information related to illegal weapons or suspicious activities.
This collaborative approach will further strengthen the fight against insurgency and ensure continued prosperity of the region.
