Imphal: As part of the year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations of the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU), Manipur Press Club hosted a special event to educate attendees about “National Small Savings Schemes, Postal Life Insurance (PLI), and Rural PLI.” Organized by AMWJU in collaboration with key entities such as the Director of Small Savings, Department of Finance, Department of Post (Manipur Division), and Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), the gathering brought together influential figures.
Prominent attendees, including IPR Director Dr. Th Charanjeet Singh, AMWJU President Bijoy Kakchingtabam, and Rajendra Kumar Singh, Director of Small Savings, graced the occasion as Presidium members. The session featured insightful presentations by experts from the Department of Post, shedding light on various schemes for public welfare. A comprehensive Powerpoint presentation highlighted the benefits of National Small Savings Schemes. In a proactive move, members of AMWJU also enrolled in small savings accounts for themselves and their family members during the account opening session, reflecting a tangible initiative to drive financial well-being.
