Bishnupur (Manipur): Waari Singbul Network) The Spear Corps of the Indian Army celebrated the accomplishments of talented youngsters from Manipur in an event held in Bishnupur.
The event, graced by senior officers and dignitaries, highlighted the dedication of the students, teachers, and parents, emphasizing the Army’s support in nurturing young talent. The achievements of these individuals serve as an inspiration, showcasing their resilience and determination to succeed, which the Indian Army is proud to endorse and encourage.
At the forefront of the accolades were six bright students from the Manipur Super 50 program, who demonstrated their academic prowess by successfully clearing the highly competitive JEE Mains 2024 exam. These students received well-deserved recognition for their dedication and hard work, which was further supported by the mentorship of the Army and NEIDO.
In addition to academic achievements, the event also celebrated the success of four local Wushu players who have brought honor to Manipur through their outstanding performances. Ms. Tamphasana Devi, Mr. N Bidiyasagarh Singh, Ms. Koijam Yaisana Devi, and Miss A Gracy Devi, each a medalist in prestigious competitions such as Khelo India, East Zone, North East Games, and Sub Junior National Championships, were applauded for their exceptional contributions to the sport.
Among the honored sports personalities was Master Thomas Singh, whose remarkable resilience and determination after overcoming an accident during the Wushu Championships in February 2024 served as an inspiration to all present. His courage in the face of adversity epitomizes the indomitable spirit fostered and encouraged by the Indian Army.
The event, organized by the Red Shield Centre for Wellness and Excellence, highlighted not only the achievements of these young individuals but also the collaborative efforts of teachers and parents in nurturing their talents.
