TAMENGLONG: (DihCham News Service) In a heart wrenching incident a family in Dimthanlong village of Tamenglong District headquarters was shattered during their sleeps. It was around midnight last night. A mudslide from the above hill slope inundated and tear down the house of Ringsinlung Kahmei, a 32 year old killing his 2 year old son instantly. Neighbours hearing the loud noise came out and find the whole family trapped inside the fallen house and debrises. Neighbours helped the mother and the father out who were badly injured and rushed them to the District hospital. However, the mother breathed her last on the way enquiring the Well being of her baby boy. The father, who is a constable serving in Manipur Police was referred to JNIMS Imphal for further medical treatment.
The deceased mother Duanzaengliu, aged 28 years was originally from Khoupum valley while the baby son was just 2 years old and had started to learn calling mama and papa. Both the deceased were taken to Tabanglong village, the permanent residence of Ringsinlung to conduct their last rites.
