RK Herojit wins two Gold Medals at National Para Swimming Championship

Imphal:  Squadron Leader Rajkumar Herojit made headlines by winning two gold medals and a silver medal at the 24th National Para Swimming Championship, held in Panjim, Goa, from October 19 to 22. Competing against top para-athletes from across the country, Herojit showcased his exceptional skills, securing gold in both the men’s 100-meter breaststroke SB4 event and the 50-meter breaststroke SB4 event, as well as a silver in the 200-meter Individual Medley SM5.
With only three individual events allowed per athlete, Herojit medaled in all three events he participated in.
Herojit is currently serving with the Indian Air Force. He dedicated his victory to the IAF, the Services team, his coaches, family, and the people of Manipur.
It may be mentioned that Squadron Leader Rajkumar Herojit, had represented India at the 4th Asian Para Games held in Hangzhou, China, from October 22 to October 28, 2023 and for which he was honoured with a symbolic cheque at the 2024 Sanaroishingee Numit (Players’ Day).
