Born on 1st January 1951 to Rajkumar Pakasana Singh and Haobam Ningol Amureima Shija, Shrimati Nayansana Devi has worn many hats over the decades. A retired Director of the Department of Agriculture, Government of Manipur (1997–2009), and former Chairperson of the Manipur State Social Welfare Board (2010–2013), her journey has been marked by relentless service to the people and an unwavering commitment to social welfare.
As a philanthropist, author, and ardent supporter of Manipuri arts, her passion extends across literature, theatre, and film. Her literary works—He Mei Eshing Nungshit (2019), Ya Ya Lao-e Chup Lupkhi (2022), and Sanarik Pareng (2022)—have received critical acclaim for their depth, emotion, and authenticity.
