Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally held in Imphal

Imphal: On the eve of India’s 79th Independence Day, the Manipur Police Department organized a Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally from Hatta Kangjeibung to Khongjom War Memorial Complex. The rally was flagged off by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel, Security Advisor Kuldeep Singh, and senior police officials.

A total of 1017 bikers participated in the rally, comprising 137 bikes from the police and YAS departments, along with 880 bikes from 18 biker clubs.

Responding to a query by journalists, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Singh said that Action was taken against erring personnel – 5 police personnel were suspended for misconduct, with strict action to be taken against those found guilty.

He also stressed the importance of unity and cooperation in addressing issues like drug cases and law and order problems in the state. He assured that the police department is committed to working towards the betterment of the state.

The bike rally aimed to promote patriotism and unity among the people of Manipur, while also showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage. The event concluded with a sense of pride and celebration, as participants and spectators came together to honor the Manipur Police Department.
