Jung: Shri Jitendra Prasad, VSM, Additional Director General Border Roads, visited the area of responsibility of 42 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) under Project Vartak from August 19 to 22 to review the progress of ongoing road and bridge construction works.

During the four-day visit, he inspected major infrastructure projects, including the BCT Road, Sela–Chabrela–Banga Janga Gompa road, Banga Janga Gompa–Lagamche GG road, Sela Tunnel, and various roads in the Nelya Sector. Project officials briefed him on the work scope, timelines, progress achieved, and challenges faced on the ground.

The ADG interacted with engineers and personnel at each site, guiding them on improving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and adopting sustainable construction practices. He also stressed the importance of the timely completion of works critical to connectivity and strategic mobility in the region.

The visit boosted the morale of the executing teams, who expressed renewed commitment towards achieving their targets. Shri Jitendra Prasad’s encouragement and recommendations are expected to further enhance the pace and quality of infrastructure development under Project Vartak.
