Dirang–  A massive landslide struck NH-13 near Sapper Camp in Dirang on August 25 at around 1:30 PM, blocking traffic movement along the vital highway.

The slide, measuring nearly 120 meters in length and over 10 meters in depth, brought vehicular movement to a halt.
The 90 Road Construction Company (RCC) of the 42 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) under Project Vartak immediately mobilized manpower and heavy machinery to clear the debris.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Restoration efforts continued through the afternoon and late evening of August 25 but had to be suspended due to heavy rainfall. Operations resumed early on August 26 and are still in progress.
