New Delhi:  Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho, held a series of meetings with Union Ministers and BJP leadership in New Delhi on Monday. The delegation first met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss fiscal support and developmental priorities for Manipur.

Earlier in the day, Khemchand called on Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at his office, accompanied by Dikho. During the meeting, Singh assured full support from the Defence Ministry for the state’s initiatives. Khemchand also requested the establishment of a Territorial Army (TA) battalion in Manipur.

In the mean time Khemchand met BJP National President Nitin Nabin at the party’s headquarters. The discussions focused on strengthening the state BJP unit and accelerating the resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs), with Nabin assuring full party support.
