Imphal: The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has secured the second position among Government of India institutions with a workforce of 1,000 to 2,500 employees in the Karmayogi Sadhana Saptah 2026.
The nationwide initiative, organised by the Capacity Building Commission as part of its 5th Foundation Day celebrations, was held from April 2 to April 8 and later extended till April 10. The programme was conducted through the iGOT Karmayogi portal, a digital platform designed to enhance the skills of government employees through flexible, “anytime, anywhere” learning.
The portal offers a wide range of courses, covering topics from basic office procedures and administrative rules to emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and cyber security.
The Karmayogi Sadhana Saptah aimed to foster healthy competition among central government ministries, organisations and institutions by evaluating participation and completion of selected training modules across different levels of officials.
RIMS Imphal competed alongside premier institutions, including All India Institute of Medical Sciences, making the achievement particularly significant. Notably, the institute secured the rank despite challenges posed by internet disruptions in the state during the period.
The Director of RIMS congratulated the staff for the accomplishment and encouraged them to maintain the same level of dedication and enthusiasm in future endeavours.
