Imphal : Imphal International Airport experienced a security breach today as an unidentified UAV disrupted airspace, leading to the diversion of an IndiGo flight departing from Delhi to Kolkata. Subsequently, the Kolkata flight was redirected to Guwahati.
Amidst the chaos, the three flight one Indigo and two Air India Express flight, which had been on hold at Imphal International Airport, resumed its operations at 7:00 pm and 7:11 pm, respectively.
In a positive development, both the flight which were diverted to Kolkata and Guwhati have been given a green signal and are expected to arrive at their intended destinations. This news comes as a relief to passengers who were stranded by the disruptions.
