TCC Tamenglong celebrates 2nd Decennial

Tamenglong: The Town Centre Church (TCC) Tamenglong Headquarters marked a significant milestone today, celebrating 20 years of its existence. The grand celebration was attended by esteemed guests, including Rev. Dr. Rathaipou, Chief of Rongmei Naga Baptist Churches Council (RBCC), who served as the keynote speaker. Dr. Ramkung Pamei, Secretary of Town Centre Church, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and presented gifts and tokens of appreciation to distinguished guests, dignitaries, and former church workers who have contributed to the church’s growth.

The program was skillfully moderated by Namgulung Kahmei, Pastor of Model Baptist Church. Rev. Aguimei Pamei, President of the Town Churches Union (TCU), invoked God’s blessings for the occasion, while Rev. Dr. N. Palmei, Senior Pastor of TCC, pronounced the benediction for the Decennial celebration.

Special prayers were led by the Pastor of Tamenglong Baptist Church (Council), and Rev. Aluanna Gonmei, Pastor of Zeliangrong Baptist Church Tamenglong and Associate Pastor of Tamenglong Baptist Church, delivered an exhortation to the gathering.

In his sermon, themed “ROOTED IN CHRIST,” Rev. Dr. Rathaipou emphasized the importance of living a life rooted in Christ, highlighting the relevance of this message in today’s world, where only the fittest survive. The celebration was a testament to TCC’s commitment to spreading the message of Christ and serving the community.

Earlier in the day, in a solemn flag hoisting ceremony, Rev. Dr. G. Panmei, Pastor of Town Centre Church, hoisted the church flag, marking the beginning of the 20th-anniversary celebrations. He also presented a comprehensive report highlighting the church’s achievements over the past two decades.

The congregation united in singing the church anthem, “We Are One in Christ,” symbolizing their unity and shared faith.

The Town Centre Church was founded on September 12, 2004, with a vision of unity and inclusivity. Its establishment was a result of collaborative efforts from leaders across various social and religious backgrounds, as well as district-level officers from different communities coming together to form an all-community church.
