Imphal: In a ceremony at Darbar Hall, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh unveiled Process Food Products, introduced under the brand MANIFRESH as part of the Value Chain Marketing scheme for promoting quality local horticulture products. Despite challenges in Manipur, Singh emphasized the necessity of ongoing development efforts, citing the establishment of state cold storages and urging the reduction of wastage in locally grown fruits and vegetables.
Singh expressed satisfaction with improved packaging and highlighted the successful export of local products. He also acknowledged initiatives like Vocal for Local and TRIFED, ensuring support for entrepreneurs and self-help groups. The formal gathering, attended by dignitaries including Minister Awangbou Newmai and MLA Kh Ibomcha, witnessed entrepreneurs expressing gratitude for government assistance.
The diverse array of products launched included Kachai lemon tea, Dehydrated Pineapple, Sirarakhong flakes, Sirarakhong powder, Sirarakhong whole dry, Dry Cake, Lotus tea, Lotus incense tea, Thambou chips, Thambou seasoning, Garcinia powder, Amla powder, Chakhao ladoo, Chakhao cookies, Ragi gulla, Chakhao bujiya, Brocco-kies, Indian pennywort tea, Orange jam, Garcinia Osmo-air dried, Banana Brew, Passion fruit Brew, Rhododendron Brew, Khasi cherry Brew, Plum Brew, Kiwi Brew, Wild olive Brew, Peach Brew, Wild apple Brew, Pineapple Brew, Mushroom Brew. This diverse range showcased the richness of locally produced goods in Manipur.
