lmphal: Assam Rifles Internal security columns deployed at Gen Area Sagolmang showed rapid response in assisting the villagers of flood affected areas.
The adverse weather warning was recieved a day prior and adequate measures were taken to assist the locals by evacuation of children and ladies .
The electricity department was contacted and electricity was cut in the area to vaalid any untoward electrocution accident. Also, the house hold items were removed by the troops of Assam Rifles to control the damage.
The relief work is under progress and medical screening of all the villagers locals & along with distribution of Rehab stores primarily drinking water and medicine is being provided in situ to all the locals.
The locals have appreciated the steadfast action of Assam Rifles at Sagolmang Area, Imphal East.
