Assam Rifles successfully recovered weapons and other war like stores linked with insurgent groups to ensure safety in the region. In order to maintain peace and security in the region, Noney Battalion, Assam Rifles has achieved a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to combat the illegal proliferation of weapons in the area of responsibility.
Through diligent surveillance and coordinated efforts, the force has been able to disrupt these networks and confiscate a significant cache of weapons.
The recovered weapons include two (02) 7.62mm SLR with magazines, One (01) .22mm Pistol with magazine, one (01) Improvised Mortar, two (02) Pull Mechanism Rifles, six (06) Mortar Bombs, eight (08) 7.62 mm Rounds of live ammunition and one (01) Motorola handset (Biofeng).
