Seven Indian pilgrims killed in Manakamana microbus accident

Seven Indian pilgrims were killed in a microbus accident in Gorkha on Saturday evening.

Suraj Aryal, chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Gorkha, said the microbus carrying 16 people, including 14 pilgrims, met with the accident while returning from the temple and plunged around 150 metres off the road at Kantar in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3.

He said the deceased include two women and five men, all Indian nationals who had travelled to Manakamana for worship.

Seven injured passengers have been rescued and are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Anbukhaireni.
