MAYOL: On the 4th Day the long march of the Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) after spending a night at Oinam Law College today headed towards Bishnupur district and reached Ningthoukhong Keithel today afternoon.
Large number of people of the area welcome the MAYOL volunteers as they approached Ningthoukhong Keithel in Bishnupur district. A public meeting to spread awareness among the people on why the youths (MAYOL) started the long march on December 20 was organised by Apunba Lup Ningthoukhong and Apunba Ningthoukhol Keithel Lup. The meeting attended local eminent personalities. Convenor Apunba Lup Ningthoukhong Heisnam Nungsibabu in his keynote address expressed the need to understand why the illegal immigrants have been demanding separate administration. He appealed to the general public to participate the meeting. He further expressed that the ruling government of Manipur has announced earlier that peace has been restored in Manipur but violence is still continuing with armed Kuki militants firing towards Meitei villagers till today. Leihouthabam Saratchandra, Political Analysis, Moirangthem Rajen, Social Activist were also attended in the public meeting attended.
