United National Liberation Front (UNLF) Manipur Peoples Army ( MPA ) celebrates 37th Raising Day.

Imphal: The Manipur People’s Army (MPA), the army wing of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF), celebrated its 37th Raising Day today at various army units both inside and outside Manipur.
A statement by M. Shakhen, Secretary of Publicity of the Koireng-led UNLF, said that a two-minute silence was observed as a mark of tribute to the martyred revolutionaries. Floral tributes were also paid to the martyrs, and the annual report of the Military Affairs Committee of the Central Committee was read out by the leaders of the unit.
According to the statement, the main function of the 37th Raising Day of MPA was held at Central Headquarters.
Chairman of the Military Affairs Committee and UNLF NC Koireng graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Member of the MAC Col. K. Puyaning and Vice Chief of the Army Staff of MPA Lt. Col. L. Khongnangthaba attended as presidium members.
Members of the Central Committee – M.Iboyaima, Officiating General Secretary, Y. Abo Secretary of Agriculture and Environment, O. Chingkheinganbi,
Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, Ksh. Yoiheiba, Secretary of Organization, M. Munan,
Secretary of Finance, and Directors of various departments and party cadres attended the 37th
Raising Day of MPA held at the CHQ . The Chief of the Army Staff of MPA hoisted the party flag at the GHQ.
At the function held at Tactical Headquarters-1, GSO 2 Lt. Col N. Naoba graced as Chief Guest, while Central Committee members TD Khuman Chiu, Secretary of Minority Affairs, and M. Shakhen, Secretary of Publicity, shared the dais.
At Tactical Headquarters- 2, GSO-2 Lt. Col. Wakheiba graced as Chief Guest. At the Raising Day function held outside Manipur, N. Lancha,
General Secretary of UNLF (Koireng) in charge of External Affairs, graced as Chief Guest.
At the function held at Kanglei, Col. I. Tomba graced as Chief Guest. At Laksha, the
function was graced by Lt. Col. W. Chumthang. At
SIndam, the function was graced by Lt. Col. M.
Manaba. In the valley area of Manipur, the Raising Day was also held at training centers
with Operation Commanders of each center attending as Chief Guest.
The revolutionary armies of the KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), and RPF also attended the 37th Raising Day of the MPA.
