No external forces can change the dynamics of our state and only BJP can bring long-term solutions to the challenges faced by our state’s populace, says Shri M Asnikumar Singh at the ‘Sthapana Diwas’ celebrations in Tamenglong.

As the party continues to forge new paths of progress and prosperity, Mr. Asnikumar Singh urged all karyakartas to redouble their efforts in advancing the BJP’s transformative agenda for the welfare and development of the region.

Speech by Shri M Asnikumar Singh –
“BJP’s core ideology is ‘Antodaya’ – which means serving the poorest and the weakest of society, as described in the book ‘Integral Humanism’ written by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, a founding member of the BJP. Established on this day in 1980, BJP won its first MP election in 1984 with Shri AK Patel (Gujarat) and C Ranga Reddy (Andhra Pradesh). From 2 seats to 303 seats today, the rise of the party is attributed to the unwavering support of the people. And I frimly believe that BJP will win more than 350 seats on its own and will cross 400 seats with its allies. Come June and PM Narendra Modi ji will secure his third term. All because BJP has always prioritized the welfare of the people, good governance, and implementing policies that promote the development of the country and its citizens. This is why we are the largest political party in the world.

I am proud to be a karyakarta of BJP, and I see that same pride reflected in each one of you present here today. While there are hundreds of political parties in the country, all with vested interests in elections, only seeking to secure their seats, BJP transcends mere politics. Being a karyakarta of BJP is akin to being part of a family, where support is extended through both good and bad times. Here, we can share our sorrows, happiness, and strengths with one another. All of this is reflected in our party’s ideologies, with a focus on integrating everyone into the country’s development journey.

This is why, with a special focus on the Northeastern states, former PM Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee established the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Ministry of DoNER. Despite decades of rule, or I should say, misrule, the Congress party failed to implement a single policy for our region. Meanwhile, under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, BJP is bringing opportunities to the people of the Northeast. Beyond development, PM Modi Ji is also showcasing our rich culture and history to every corner of our nation and the world. Rani Gaidinliu’s valor and sacrifices are now taught in schools across the nation. Before BJP, our history and culture were neglected, relegated to the empty bookshelves of a defunct library. But all that has changed now.

The Congress party will always make empty promises, such as the ‘Look East’ policy, but it was the visionary leadership of PM Modi Ji that turned ‘Look East’ into the ‘Act East’ policy. Under Congress’ rule, development was a trickle-down version, where the public was the last to reap the benefits. In contrast, our party is empowering the public, including women, youth, and marginalized communities – ‘Antodaya’.

Since 1963, Congress has predominantly governed the state, yet crucial infrastructural developments such as roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare, and welfare initiatives have remained woefully inadequate. However, significant strides have been made under BJP governance, notably within a short span. Can we not acknowledge the palpable improvement in road conditions? Once, a journey from Imphal to Tamenglong would consume over eight hours; today, it merely takes four. The perennial challenge of drinking water scarcity has been alleviated under the BJP’s rule. Are not all citizens benefiting from transformative schemes like CMHT/PMJAY? Presently, Tamenglong’s oranges boast global market access, heralding numerous entrepreneurial prospects, particularly for our women and youth.

Today, as our state grapples with a period of unrest and violence, it’s essential to highlight that the roots of this turmoil were planted during the tenure of the Congress party. Their divisive vote bank politics have plunged us into these challenging times. It’s crucial to emphasize that external forces cannot alter the dynamics of our state. The sacred bond between Nagas, Meiteis, and other tribes remains unbreakable against external influences. We stand united and will progress together.

Chief Minister Shri N Biren Singh could have chosen silence, but he opted to confront these challenges head-on, safeguarding the rights of the indigenous population while combating menaces like drugs, deforestation, illegal immigration, and other illicit activities. Despite Congress’s continued targeting of us for PM Modi’s purported silence on the Manipur conflict, it’s vital to note that PM Modi has unequivocally addressed the issue in his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort and in Parliament, demonstrating solidarity with the people of Manipur.

The BJP alone holds the potential to offer long-term solutions to the challenges faced by our state’s populace. In contrast, the Congress can only resort to falsehoods and propaganda.

As the parliamentary elections approach, I stand before the people of Tamenglong with a fervent appeal. In this critical juncture, as we chart the course for our collective future, I implore you to lend your unwavering support to the NDA candidate from NPF, Shri Timothy Zimik.

It is imperative that we recognize the significance of this moment and the pivotal role it plays in shaping the destiny of our state and our nation at large. By throwing our weight behind Shri Timothy Zimik, we not only affirm our commitment to the ideals of progress and development but also pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.

Together, let us stand united in our resolve to propel our state forward on the path of growth and prosperity. Let us seize this opportunity to reaffirm our faith in the transformative vision of the NDA alliance and its dedication to the welfare of every citizen.

I urge you, my fellow citizens of Tamenglong, to cast your vote in favor of Shri Timothy Zimik and contribute to the continuation of our state’s remarkable journey of development. With your support, we can overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and build a future that is prosperous, inclusive, and filled with promise.”

The ‘Sthapana Diwas’ celebrations culminated with the presentation of traditional shawls to the Chief Guest, Shri M Asnikumar Singh, and other esteemed guests. In a heartening display of solidarity, the dedicated karyakartas of Tamenglong affirmed their unwavering support for the NDA candidate, pledging their commitment to furthering the progress of our state and our beloved nation.
