As a gesture of support from the Manipur government, he said efforts would be made to include an allocation in the annual budget and that he would personally extend help within his capacity. He expressed words of encouragement to Red Cross volunteers.
He also raised concerns that Red Cross volunteers, while serving the public, have faced incidents of obstruction, including ambulances being stopped on the road. He urged all concerned to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
