West Nawalparasi, Kartik 2 — Armed Police Force, Nepal Border Security Training Academy in Bardaghat, West Nawalparasi, has constructed traditional bamboo swings (Linge Ping) in various locations to strengthen relations with the local community and enhance the festive spirit of Dashain and Tihar.

A team from the academy constructed the bamboo swings for children and local residents in Nagar Palika Tol and Badhipidit Tol, located in Ward No. 4 of Bardaghat Municipality.
According to Senior Superintendent of Armed Police Sudhir Subedi, Head of the Academy, the swings were set up to deepen the social and emotional bonds between citizens and the police, as well as to preserve local culture and traditions. He stated that alongside the responsibility of border security and public protection, standing hand-in-hand with the community in times of joy and hardship remains a priority for the Armed Police Force.

Local residents—especially children, youth, and victims in flood-affected areas—were highly enthusiastic to see security personnel, who work around the clock, coming directly to their neighborhoods to construct the swings. After having swings prepared in their own neighborhoods, the locals expressed their deep gratitude to the Armed Police Force Nepal and the Border Security Training Academy.
