Imphal: The All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) and the Editors’ Guild Manipur (EGM) are deeply shocked and saddened by the untimely demise of Dr. Engam Pame, IIS, Additional Director General, Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Regional Office, Imphal.
Dr. Engam Pame shared a close association with the media fraternity of Manipur. His warmth, accessibility and commitment to his responsibilities earned him the respect and affection of journalists and colleagues who had the opportunity to work with him.
His sudden passing is a profound loss not only to his family and colleagues but also to the media fraternity of Manipur. We will remember him with affection and respect for his contribution to public communication and for the cordial relationship he maintained with the press.
At this hour of grief, AMWJU and EGM extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, his colleagues at PIB and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, and all those who knew and loved him.
We pray that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace and that the bereaved family finds strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
